The Stable Cat’s Christmas

The Stable Cat's Christmas
Thanks Worthy Kids/Ideas for a review copy of this book and for the giveaway book as well.

What can I give him, poor as I am?

If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb.

If I were a wise man, I would do my part,

Yet what I can I give him — give him my heart.

Most of us are familiar with the Christina Rossetti poem. And there’s a similar message in The Stable Cat’s Christmas, a beautiful new picture book for children.

The Stable Cat’s Christmas

The Stable Cat's Christmas

Poor little dust-colored kitty observes all the other animals offering what appear to be meaningful gifts to the newborn king. But what does a little barn cat have to give? Nothing, she thinks — until just by being herself, she ends up offering a wonderful gift to baby Jesus. Really sweet ending to this story! Of course, it’s a given that I would love it due to the sweet little cat. Most kids are animal lovers, too.

The book is a beautiful hardcover that is perfect for reading to kids at dinner (I may even sneak in a reading to my teens this season!). This book could easily become a classic in your home for years to come. The simple text pairs well with the lovely illustrations. The Stable Cat’s Christmas would make a lovely Christmas gift for any child on your list (it is recommended for ages 4-7).
