Menu Plan Monday 2/13/2017

Blount Vegetarian Chili soup

Welcome to another wintry edition of Menu Plan Monday. This seemed like a pretty quiet week around here, which isn’t a bad thing. I saw a squirrel back at our bird feeder, but his back looked just fine so I’m thinking he may not be our original one. We got an inch or two of snow this week, which always seems to bring more birds than usual to the feeder also.

Monday: Wendy’s Chili — Mondays are busy days, with piano lessons right up until 6:00, so it’s a good day for soup (which can be prepared early afternoon). And my family never gets tired of chili.

Tuesday: Chicken Pot Pie (one of my favorites) and this for a delicious Valentine’s Day dessert 🙂

Wednesday: One Pot Cheesy Pasta and Sausage — new recipe; I saw this complimented somewhere online. It does look good, doesn’t it?

Thursday: tortellini — no recipe, I just noticed I still had a bag or two in the pantry and it’s easy to just boil them and serve with pasta sauce and a vegetable —

Friday: Cheeseburger Wraps — I think I’ve made these before (I pinned it), but anyway, they look good, don’t they?

  1. I plan to eat food from my ice box until some of the items are depleted. I went to a church dinner at Zion Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. yesterday. Hundreds of people come. The food is home cooked and just amazing! The weather was amazing, too! They had the door propped open. It was like a sunny day in spring. What a mild winter – what a buggy summer awaits us!

  2. The Valentine’s Day dessert you have planned looks spectacular!! I want some of it!! Tonight will be baked fish, we’ll eat out tomorrow for Valentine’s Day, and some kind of chicken on Wednesday. That’s all I have planned so far. I need to plan some meals to use some of the items in my freezer so hope to do that before we get hungry on Thursday!!
