Butterfinger Brownie Bites

Butterfinger Brownie Bites

Dollar General NestleI visited Dollar General earlier this week, although I must admit that I’m not a regular Dollar General shopper. In fact, I had to look up addresses online to learn where to find them in my fair city. But once I arrived, I was glad to be there, because Dollar General savings abounded. There were so many products in the store, at great prices. I was looking for NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Morsels at Dollar General, and here they are:

NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Morsels at Dollar GeneralYou can save beyond the shelf prices with online Dollar General coupons. These were new to me, but they were great. Just go to the link and sign up with your phone number, and choose the coupons you want. Then, when you go to Dollar General, type in your phone number at checkout and the savings come off automatically — nothing to print! Nice.

I also found some delicious NESTLÉ® Stand Up Bags in Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups flavor at Dollar General. Who could resist those? Not me!

At home, I put together a recipe using these goodies, plus a brownie mix. I call them Butterfinger Brownie Bites, and they would make an easy and delicious addition to your Christmas baking. Thanks to my tech-savvy teens, we even have a nifty video showing how to make these …

Butterfinger Brownie Bites

You’ll need one box of brownie mix (prepare batter)

1 bag Butterfinger Minis (I used the peanut butter cup type)

1 bag Nestle Toll House Morsels

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a mini muffin tin with non stick spray.
Fill each mini muffin tin 3/4 full with brownie batter. Bake for about 12 minutes. Remove from oven and press one candy into the center of each cup.
Cool for 5 minutes in pan, on cooling rack.
Melt chocolate chips in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. Drizzle melted chocolate over each cookie cup. Allow chocolate to harden before serving.
I have to say that these were REALLY good. The inside of the Butterfinger melts so that in the brownie it tastes kind of carmel-y. Yum!

  1. I hope you appreciate having teens who can help you with technological challenges. I, personally, would love it, if I could get them to help me.

Is it as frigid there as it is here? I don’t know how many times I heard on TV this morning that it is so cold that salt won’t help on the roads. I had to take Snookums to be groomed, so I’m up and out, in spite of the cold.

  2. Those look delicious! I enjoyed the video. They look easy to make. Lucky you, to have tech-smart teens!
