Menu Plan Monday 5-18-2015

Another May Monday, which means we’ve just finished another full weekend. The highlight was the piano recital:

piano recital

I always enjoy the recital immensely, although they make me nervous — it’s kind of like having 17 kids! I always hope each of them performs well enough that it is a good experience for him or her. I think it was, this time! I’ll share more details about the recital later this week.

This is the final week I give piano lessons this school year, plus there are 2 awards ceremonies to go to for my own kids this week. So, things aren’t winding down quite yet.

Here is the menu plan:

Monday: Chicken Noodle Soup — no real recipe; just noodles (often homemade but this week I honestly think I will use ready-made), chicken, celery, carrots, and seasonings …

Tuesday: Make your own pizza — I make the dough for crusts; each person adds toppings of choice for individual pizzas

Wednesday: Nacho Casserole — made before; liked.

Thursday: Fish night — lately I am liking to prepare it in a skillet. Quick and easy …

Friday: daughter #3 belatedly celebrates her birthday by having 2 friends spend the night. Papa John’s … I know, pizza twice in the week, but homemade is different than store-bought. She has requested chocolate chip cookie cake.

What are you cooking this week? More menu ideas at OrgJunkie’s.

  1. I hope you enjoyed your chicken noodle soup tonight. Recently a friend told me the frozen noodles surpass homemade ones everytime.

  2. You piqued my palate when writing about homemade chicken noodle soup. I hope it was a delight.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I enjoy hearing your thoughts.
