Jessa Duggar’s Brownies Recipe

Are you caught up in the Duggar-mania that seems to have taken over the media? You know, the Duggars, the family with 19 children. I confess I’m a bit disillusioned with their seemingly ever-growing taste for fame and media coverage, but overall, I do like them. I’m thinking I may make daughter Jessa (Seewald)’s Butterscotch Brownies this week:

Jessa Seewald brownies Duggar

Jessa Duggar Brownies

1 c. brown sugar

1/4 c. oil

1 egg

1 t. vanilla

3/4 c. flour

1 t. baking powder

1/2 t. salt

Mix together first four ingredients. Then add remaining ingredients & mix well. Spread into greased 8”x8” baking dish. Bake at 350 for approx. 20 min. Do not over bake. Enjoy!

  1. Especially have fun on your Wednesday outing. I love serendipity and it’s out there if you do a bit of digging!

  2. You didn’t include a link for the cake. I’m wondering what kind it is. Enjoy celebrating daughter #3’s birthday.

  3. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Elaine, the link is there — with this new blog format, it just doesn’t show up as clearly as it formerly did. If you click on the words “this cake” in the post, you will be taken there. It’s in the oven now 🙂

  4. That poppy seed chicken looks delicious. I may have to try it.
