As regular Girls in White Dresses readers know,
I’m a fan of Kate Gosselin Kate Gosselin fascinates me. I began by loving “Jon and Kate Plus 8” — who wouldn’t love a show watching how parents deal with raising their cute twins and sextuplets?
Of course, soon the “reality TV curse” seemed to strike. Jon and particularly Kate became enamored of themselves and began feeling hugely entitled. They moved out of their modest house into a multi-million dollar estate. The kids went to a pricey private school. Kate got hair extensions, plastic surgery, went on Dancing with the Stars, and the couple headed to a posh Hawaiian resort for a televised renewal of the wedding vows — just months before they split up and their show was canceled.
So, you may be curious about a Kate Gosselin update for 2014. What’s Kate up to these days? Has she returned to her original job of nursing? How has she dealt with returning to life without cameras rolling? Apparently, according to her sister, not well.
Kate is still trying to make a living in a “celebrity” type way: writing books (a recent cookbook has not sold well) and appearing on TV. A recent appearance by Kate and her older daughters, twins Mady and Cara, resulted in an embarrassing silence from the girls that surely didn’t excite any potential TV show producers.
