How would you like a tropical escape? I hate winter, truly I do, and the older I get, the less I like it. So, I would be totally thrilled to be offered a tropical escape. Honey Bunches of Oats is making one available! Woo hoo!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The reason they’re giving away a tropical escape is to promote their delicious new cereal, Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends.

Have you tried any of the Honey Bunches of Oats cereals? They’re truly a treat. My favorite is the strawberry variety. I usually always start the day with raisin bran, but lately I’ve sprinkled a little of the Honey Bunches Raisin cereal on top. It adds a touch of granola-y interest.

The new Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Bends cereal includes 10 g of whole grains per serving and 6 g of sugar (compare that to 9 g of sugar for a comparable serving of Honey Nut Cheerios). It includes 9 vitamins and minerals, even 60% of your daily iron. It’s heart-healthy, with a serving containing no evil trans fats, and just .5 g of saturated fats.

What makes this cereal tropical? It has crispy mango flakes and real coconut shavings and coconut flavored granola clusters. Yum!

   I haven’t tried any of the flavors yet, I’m pretty routine oriented even with food, I find one I like and I stick with it until I get burned out on it and begin searching for a replacement…not exactly adventurous I know
