Menu Plan Monday

Menu Plan Monday

Is it Christmas? Feels that way, because this is probably the busiest week of the year here. I have 14 piano students coming this week, in addition to final rehearsals with the 16 kids I’m accompanying at ISSMA band contest Saturday. This makes for really hectic after-school hours, but it’s for a good cause. Prayers and happy thoughts for all the musicians will be appreciated Saturday, between 9 a.m. and 2:30. It takes a lot of preparation and courage to learn a solo and play it for a judge. Best wishes to all these kids!

Our menu here for the week:

Monday: Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole — I have not made this before. Hopefully it will be delicious.

Tuesday: Black Bean Chicken Chili — I don’t remember making this, but noted that I had tried it and liked it a few years back.

Wednesday: Chicken Curry with Rice — I add spinach to this as well.

Thursday:   Cheddar Chicken Spaghetti — planning to make two so I can freeze one. This is a good recipe to freeze.

Friday: Stacked Burrito Pie — yummy!

  1. Each student who enters the contest Saturday is a winner – no matter what metal they receive. Very few kids have the gumption to do it in the first place. Cheers for the brave few who do!

  2. Sounds like we have similar tastes! I’ve made the chicken and wild rice casserole – it’s super tasty! And I have a recipe that looks very similar to the stacked burrito pie. You should swing by and see if any of my recipes strike your fancy. Fun to stop by!

  3. The chicken and wild rice casserole recipe looks like it would be delicious! Enjoy your week, and best wishes to all the kids in the contest.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I enjoy hearing from you.
