Happy New Year! And Happy Menu Plan Monday!
Any menu planning resolutions for the new year? None here, since I’m already doing the best I can: planning out meals a week in advance so I can confine grocery shopping to once a week, cooking 5 days most weeks to keep our food costs down, and trying to plan meals that are relatively quick to prepare, healthy, and that most of five people will eat … no small task! I’d love to hear any food resolutions you’ve made as I can always improve.
Well, I guess there’s one thing I’ll work on. I sorted through the big stack of recipes “to try.” You know, the ones clipped from magazines and the newspaper, the ones bookmarked … I want to try them and decide whether or not they’re keepers.
Monday: Beef Taco Bake – I found this near the beginning of my first “homemade” cookbook; haven’t made it in quite awhile.
Tuesday: Chicken and homemade noodles.
Wednesday: Make your own pizza – I make the dough; everyone puts on toppings of choice.
Thursday: Lasagna Soup – delicious!
Friday: Baked Teriyaki Chicken – I bookmarked this; can’t remember where I saw it recommended, but it said is was easy and delicious.
