Oh what fun it was to spend a day in the Windy City with a group of fifth graders …
If you ever have the chance to see a production at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier, go. We saw A Comedy of Errors, and they kept the 5th graders– and parents — totally engaged for 75 minutes.
Heading over to the Art Institute and hearing the kids talk about “their paintings” was awesome as well. Each child was assigned a famous painting beforehand, which they researched and then reported on while at the museum.
I hope your Saturday was half as nice!
Do you have any favorite memories of the Windy City? I’d love to hear them!
