Today, I share with you something I love – my plant area and plant shelf:
The lighting isn’t great in the photo, but it’s for a good reason. The plant area is by the big south window in the kitchen, where light streams in. It is a great, cheery place to be – for people AND for plants. I love seeing the green plants, especially in the winter.
Some of the plants have stories. Two of my girls’ first grade teachers gave them ‘baby plants’ at the end of the school year. They are both thriving. Other plants are ones the girls were given in a plant give-away each spring at school.
There is a huge aloe plant (which keeps having babies) my mother in law gave me a start of. Several geraniums are spending the winter until they can bloom outside.
