New Year Journal for Kids

This year, why not start a tradition: a New Year Journal for kids.  I got this idea years ago (can’t remember where).  Each January 1, I get out the journal, which is just a regular notebook.  Each of the kids gets a page to answer these three questions:

1.  If I had 3 wishes, they would be:

2.  I am lucky because:

3.  I’m a little afraid of:

Then I let them draw a picture at the bottom.  We’ve been doing this since 2004, and it’s a lot of fun to see what the kids are thinking (and how they write and draw) throughout the years.

Happy New Year, everyone!
